First Day of First Grade!

We took Jake to school this morning. The beginning of another school year. This time he's in first grade, and I think he was more excited about this year than he has been about any other.

We got to his classroom, and he hardly looked back to say goodbye. His teacher asked if he'd rather have a hug or a handshake, and he said (in typical Jake fashion), "Neither." Ike said he might talk to him about shaking hands and not being rude, but I have to say, I'm okay with that reaction. He doesn't know his teacher at all yet, and it takes him some time to warm up to new adults. Me too, so I get it. :)

Annie and I headed from school to Starbucks with friends. All three girls have big brothers who are back in school today. Those brothers have no idea how much fun the girls have while they're at school!
