She Belongs To Ike
I know, I know, it's been so long since I've written that probably no one checks my blog anymore... Don't worry, stories galore will be coming soon. We've got a secret trip planned: to see Mickey Mouse in Disneyworld! We'll be leaving next Wednesday, the 23rd, so when we return, I'll have much to share...

In the meantime, I thought I'd tell you one way I can tell Annie is more Ike than me. (And this story isn't even about how damn stubborn he--I mean, she--can be.)

Tonight after I put Annie to bed, she got up and started knocking on her door. No surprise these days, now that she's decided Sleep is Enemy #1. But what was she asking for as she yelled for me?

No, not her pink teddy bear. Not her kitty cat or puppy dog or her brand-new baby doll from Santa.

"Mommy!! Mommmmyyyyy! I need my glyptodon!"

Yes, that's right. Annie just couldn't sleep without her distant armadillo ancestor. So soft and cuddly with its "heavy, dome-shaped body armor, helmet-like head armor, and rings of bony armor on its short tail." (Thanks to www.enchantedlearning.com for the glyptodon insight.)

Ike's child. Hardly mine at all...

I'm with Jaimie on this one, I was beginning to think you'd forsaken your blog! I know, I really have too :( We both suck ;)

I can't wait to see you! And guess what, I get the evening away from my kids to do it :) Terry and the girls are gonna go off and play while I come over to see you. My awesome hubby realizes that I need some kid free time for a change. Anyway, I can't wait to hear about your trip! You guys are gonna have a blast.
