Seeing Santa

Last night we took the kids to see Santa at the mall. We expected a long line at 6:00 on a Friday night, but we had no line at all. We were the only ones there until another little boy showed up behind us. I think that might be our Christmas miracle for the year...

Jake had his list ready for Santa and was all business. Annie...well, Annie wasn't interested in Santa. On our way to the mall, when I asked her what she wanted from Santa for Christmas, she said, "A Boots birthday party." (That's Dora the Explorer, which she has renamed after the monkey sidekick.) Seeing the big man himself did nothing to make her more comfortable. She practically jumped from my arms to Ike's and would not let go of him.

And that's why Ike got to sit in Santa's lap this year*...

*Okay, in reality, Ike was just sitting beside Santa, not in his lap.

How cute! We went Saturday afternoon and there was barely a line at all too! We only waited maybe 10 min at most. Hey at least Annie is not screaming!

I think the picture would have been much better if Ike was actually sitting on Santa's lap. I love the look on Annie's face!
