Forget Please & Thank You: We're Two
**For those of you who may be anxiously awaiting the video from Jake's talent show performance tonight (ok, that's one person: Aunt Jane, but the rest of you might enjoy it maybe too), Ike's working on making it a smaller file. Something about being huge and taking too long to download...

In the meantime, let me tell you Annie's newest thing. Now, she's never been the most patient infant/toddler, but as we near age two (13 days away!), she's reached new heights in her bossiness.

When she doesn't want you in the room with her, she tells you where to go.

Lest you think I mean our daughter is telling us to go to hell (which she might, had she heard that sort of terrible language in this household...), let me give you an example. Today she was sitting in Ike's lap watching Yo Gabba Gabba on the computer. (Incidentally, the drug trip experience of watching Yo Gabba Gabba is its own blog entry, if I can ever come down from the funky high.) I walked into the office.

Annie shooed me away (yes, literally) and said, "Mommy, go potty."

"Umm...Annie, I don't need to go potty."

[Shoo, shoo, hand motions again] "Mommy, go shower."

"Annie, I don't need to shower."

Finally she looks at me in exasperation and says, "Mommy, go."

She's skipped Princess and gone straight to Queen, that one.

Want more Yo Gabba Gabba? Here's a fun picture, welcome to crack on Nick Jr.
