Disney on Ice: Monsters, Inc.
Yesterday we took Jake to see Disney on Ice Monsters Inc., thanks to Nana and Granddaddy's help keeping Annie and with the tickets. Jake loved it, and despite my irrational fear of crowds, Ike and I had a good time too. Personally, I'm thinking ahead to a few years from now when Annie and I can go see the Disney Princesses ice skate (and maybe fall down, ha ha ha).

Pictures!

On the way there. We didn't tell Jake where we were going until we inside the Coliseum, almost at our seats. He guessed everything from a museum with real dinosaur bones to a movie to camping...but he was pretty excited about the reality. And of course he got one toy: a Monsters Inc. sword. No, I don't remember the sword-fighting scene from Monsters Inc. either, but the marketing people for Disney "get it." Boys dig swords. Who cares about the story line?

Me helping Jake out of his huge coat. We overdressed him in layers...which came in handy later when he had the snow cone that ended up mostly in his lap. Not because Jake was messy, but because Ike and I kept spilling it on him when we were stealing bites.

Ike took this picture right before the show started. We also had a nice, elderly gentleman behind us take a picture of all of us, but either he was shaky or we were, because we ended up very blurry in the picture. Oh well. Oh, and see all those empty seats in front of ours (behind Jake here)? Those belonged to big-headed people who all showed up five to ten minutes after the show started. Very irritating, but fortunately no one else was on our row, so we just moved over to avoid the big heads.

Seriously, McDreamy's got nothing on these two. So good-looking...

I'm glad you guys had fun! I too have issues with crowds in places like this. It sucks. I'm convinced that one of those strangers happens to be a pervert looking to steal one of my kids and thats the only reason they'd be at a kids function. Crazy, I know, lol. Anyway, you got some great pictures! Jake is such a handsome little boy, and Ike isn't too bad either ;)

I take terrible pictures (as in being in front of the camera). I promise I'm not high or drunk.

Looks like you guys had fun! We wanted to take the kids soooo bad but it just did not happen. Maybe next year.
