...you snot-nosed, slimy-fingered kid.
This is probably my biggest pet peeve these days. I understand that small children are fascinated by babies. I understood during the school year that if I took Annabelle to Jake's class, I should expect to fight off small fingers.
BUT I do not understand how I can be in a public place, with the parents of aforementioned snot-face, slimy-fingered kids there as well, and still have these kids touching my baby.
Example. Yesterday we went to the children's museum with one of Jake's friends. While they were playing, this filthy looking little boy appeared from nowhere. He just materialized beside me trying to grab Annie's hand and repeating, "Cute baby. Stupid baby." Yeah, I think something may have been wrong with him. But that's not the point. The point is his mama was RIGHT THERE watching while this kid tried to put his hands all over my baby.
Do parents like this not remember having a baby? Do they not realize that if their kid touches my baby's hands, my baby is going to have their nasty germs in her mouth?? Yuck.
I'm thinking of writing to my local representative. It's just disgusting. These parents who let their kids touch other people's babies without permission should obviously be shot.
(It's Monday morning. Apparently I'm irritable.)

Count me in when you write up a petition to have them shot, cause I totally agree. I cringed when I see a little snotty nosed kid coming towards my babies! Come to think of it, I got pretty nasty with a coughing, snotty little girl at PIU for touching YOUR baby last time we were there together, LOL.
I agree that the snotty little kids are bad..but you know whats worst...the adults who are complete strangers that want to touch and even go so far as to ask to hold your baby. WTF?! Why would I let a complete stranger hold my child? Boundries people, Boundries!
I can barely stand MY kids touching me when they are snotty..I sure wouldn't let them touch someone else!! I agree w/the whole adult stranger thing. I mean the kids do not know any better but a grown person?? I would never just walk up to someone I didn't know and ask if I could hold their kid...what are people thinking sometimes?
Yes, I agree. It's disgusting. And also, you were irritable... just in case you weren't sure.
Just a quick note to say - I completely agree with all of you! And, that I wasn't the one who posted the anonymous comment, even though I saw you on Monday morning. I wouldn't dare call you irritable. That would be taking my own life in my hands. ;)
